Birthday Post Mortem

Let's take a moment to remember my birthday...uuummmm....OK, so thankfully there are photos 'cause I don't know about you lot, but it's all a blur to me.

It started off well enough!



And then the party got a little bigger...



A few rowdies showed up...



And then Johnny had a few too many and started flirting...



And THEN there was a massive "Boob Off" (Ding Ding WINNER!!)...



Once again, an absolutely normal "stay at home" sort of celebration. Nothing much to write about really.

Dancing Horse

I am absolutely speechless.

Growin' up we was so poor...we couldn't afford water skiis...we had to use the dock.

This is pix of my bro (the elder) towing his pooch Jackson around Genoa Bay. B the E is the warfinger (pron: war-fin-jer) at Genoa Bay Marina. Apparently my concept of what that job entails is completely off the mark.
It is not about being a salty old dog, working in a marina and mucking around on boats...
it is about parading a salty old dog, around the marina, behind a boat.

Colour me embarrassed.

Ummmm....

I think my friend Thai is pregnant with 6 year olds not 6 month olds!

O.K. some day I may, ("gulp"), have children. Many of my friends have, many are trying (perhaps even as we speak....yick). But none...NONE are having babies like Thai.

Thai and her husband Steve, as you can read in her Blog, have up and moved with their toddler Finley to Hong Kong. Thai is pregnant with twins. Thai is 5 foot NOTHING. (O.K. Thai, yes..yes..5 foot two!)

I love you desperately, but HLOY CARP!! I know housing is crazy in HK, but you must have been able to come up with a better solution than housing Steve and Fin IN YOUR BELLY!!!
And...might I remind our dear readership...Thai is only 6 months preggers. 3 more months to go!!

A Widow Once Again

As many of you know, my darling Rosamond has a day job. I know, I know...how does she manage to do the dishes, fluff the pillows, change the channels for me, shake up a mean 'tini AND go to work every day. The answer is...I don't know. She's a better girl than me. Truly.

Rosamond has worked for the past four years, doing lord know what, on a television show called The L Word.

The hours are long. Often 15 or more hours a day. Dragging her haggard soul through the door at 4 in the morning. Weekends become a 36 hour panic to get laundry done, call friends, catch up on sleep, and plan for the upcoming week. I become a Dyke Drama widow.

In a few weeks, the madness will begin again. I will no doubt be blogging more, and will be available for tea, coffee, board games, knitting bees, wicca blood lettings...what ever comes my way. Please send detailed instructions to making a martini. I am lost, alone, and sober.
